How to open a param.sfo file

Choose your local param.sfo in the inspector above. Its byte signature determines the format, regardless of the filename. Open Metadata to read supported string and integer fields, then use Export to save or copy a JSON report. The original file is unchanged.

What do TITLE_ID and APP_VER mean?

TITLE_ID is a title identifier stored in SFO metadata; APP_VER is an application version. They are shown only when present and in the supported syntax. A standalone SFO does not include a PKG header, so Content ID remains unavailable. Its signature alone does not establish which console or package it came from.

Supported files and limits

The viewer accepts plaintext SFO version 1.01 up to 1 MiB, with at most 512 entries. It displays supported UTF-8 strings and 32-bit integer fields, not binary fields. Malformed tables, duplicate keys and excessive text are rejected. This is a viewer, not an SFO editor or compatibility checker.

Still have the PKG instead?

Select the PS4 PKG in the same inspector. Open Extract files to validate and save a readable param.sfo or icon0.png. Encrypted or invalid resources cannot be extracted.
